Satu Rämö takes its readers into the twilight of Iceland's fjords - and corpses are not avoided.
Hildur begins a detective series set in the remote fjords of Iceland, where everyone tries to survive to the best of their abilities.
Hildur Rúnarsdóttir, traumatized in her childhood and head of the missing children's unit, fights her own anxiety by surfing in the cold waters of the Atlantic. Hildur's work partner is Finnish police trainee Jakob Johanson, who has gone to Iceland to escape his own difficult life situation. Jakobkin soon discovers that the picturesque fjords also have their dark side: the outcasts, exploiters and those who have fallen into the lust for power.
Soon, Hildur and Jakob are in the middle of a strange crime scene, when the fog curtain of secrets that have been in the dark for decades begins to gradually dissipate. Revenge is at least a sweet idea, but will it solve anything in the end?
Hildur starts a detective series bearing the name of its main character, faithful to the spirit of Nordic noir, with a touch of Icelandic mysticism.
